Butler County Historical & Genealogical Society’s Quarterly Meeting
January 25 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The Butler County Historical & Genealogical Society will kick off the Semiquincentennial year at its next quarterly meeting on Sunday, January 25th , at 2:00 PM at the Beeland Park Community Center — and this one will be in full bloom!
The program will spotlight camellias and their special place in Butler County history. BCHGS will highlight stories behind Butler County’s heritage camellias and share a few fun details that add color to Greenville’s legacy as “The Camellia City.”
Our featured speaker will be camellia enthusiast Stewart Tomlinson who has been showing camellias for more than 25 years. He is a member of both the Tallahassee Camellia Society and the Greenville Camellia Society and will share tips on caring for heirloom varieties.
The public is warmly invited – come for the camellias, stay for the history, and enjoy a beautiful January afternoon celebrating what makes our community special.
