Alabama State Games
The Alabama State Games started in 1982 at the request of the United States Olympic Committee (now the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee). The Inaugural Alabama State Games took place in Auburn, Alabama in 1983 featuring 600 athletes competing in four different sports. The Games now host thousands of athletes annually with 20+ sports featuring both team and individual competitions, making it Alabama’s largest annual multi-sport event for athletes of all ages and abilities.

1818 Farms

Heritage Drum Company
Owner Terry Cornett handcrafts each instrument on a custom order basis, drawing on his 30 years of experience in drum manufacturing and repair. Historical authenticity is assured by on-going research. These rugged instruments are built to be played, though their beauty will enhance the finest “War Room” or museum display.

Hall’s Sausage
Since 1945, Hall’s Sausage has been a mainstay in the Mobile area food industry, selling wholesale meats and making its own brand of sausage and bologna from tried and true recipes that have not changed for decades. Started by the first-generation American son of Lebanese and German immigrant parents, B E Namie began B E Namie Meats just as his father had started his general store—selling from a truck until he could afford a permanent facility. It didn’t take long for him to get his own building, which is when he put his German heritage to work making those delicious sausages, red hots and bologna.
Three Georges Southern Chocolates
Three Georges candy store was founded in 1917 by three Greek Mobilians named George: George Pappolamporous (later changed to Pappas), George Pope, and George Spero. Their original concept was to combine a candy shop with a soda fountain and sandwich shop. Today, they use tried-and-true recipes handed down from the original owners to carry on their tradition of fine confectionery.
Phoenix
Phoenix works with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services to provide comprehensive and continuous programs to assist people with disabilities entering, remaining, and returning to the work environment.
Phoenix has been providing employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities for 50 years and is currently employing about 75 individuals in its manufacturing division in Huntsville. They make a number of products, including an Interment Burial Flag. Each flag represents a veteran of the United States military. The Phoenix manufacturing teams takes pride in working together to construct beautiful flags to honor the fallen. Scraps from these flags are used to make beautifully crafted flag bags, available for purchase.
Bud’s Best Cookies
Prior to starting Bud’s Best, Bud Cason owned and ran Greg’s Cookies in Birmingham. Bud started a new concept with bite size cookies at Bud’s Best in 1991. He didn’t just make one variety, but an entire line of bite size cookies. On Bud’s Best sandwiching line, they can produce eight thousand sandwich cookies per minute! Three other lines make wire-cut and rotary cookies, and can make around 3,500 per minute on each of the three lines. The total cookie-making capacity is well over 1 million/hour!
Sonya Clemons, Artlady
Sonya Clemons is probably best known as the Artlady. She earned her moniker by painting murals throughout North Alabama, transforming blank walls into beautiful pieces that tell the stories of individual communities and their identities.
Born in Huntsville, Clemons has lived in Scottsboro since 1990. Her body of work is all about Southern culture. Most recently, she was commissioned to create a piece of art for the 92nd Anniversary Commemoration of the Scottsboro Boys, which is on display at the Scottsboro Boys Museum. No matter what surface she’s painting on – walls, city sidewalks, a simple canvas – she creates images that are full of color and life.
Lora McGowan Art
Southern Artist Lora McGowan has been painting since she was a young girl. Although attending Southern Illinois School of Fine Arts, it was watching her mother and grandmother paint in her childhood home that instilled a love for painting. Her past and passions play out on her canvas, bringing to life southern scenes of farm animals and childhood memories.
Lora is based in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. Her artwork can be found at Alabama Goods Stores in Huntsville, Birmingham and Hoover.

Champagne Cottage takes great pride in the craftsmanship of their products, ensuring every candle, spray, and melt is handcrafted with love and care in Moody, Alabama, U.S.A. Home to clean burning, natural, non-toxic soy candles and wax melts and room sprays.

“I am an Alabama native from a family of artists. I discovered my love for painting at an early age but didn’t pursue it until later in life. I find joy in creating beauty out of a blank canvas and paying attention to shadows and highlights. My inspiration comes from contemporary impressionism and I am also inspired by abstract art.
Outside of my art, I’m a daughter, sister, wife, mom, and dog mom. Painting is not only my passion but also a form of self-care and relaxation in my busy life. I’m grateful to my family, friends, and customers for encouraging me to pursue my love for painting and helping me to share my art with the world.”
