The 4th On Main

July 4 @ 4:00 pm 10:00 pm

The Friends of Historic Northport, in partnership with Billy’s Sports Grill, the City of Northport, and several local businesses, are excited to announce the inaugural The 4th on Main Celebration in downtown Northport on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

This free, family-friendly event will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States while celebrating the continued growth and vision of Northport under the leadership of Mayor Dale Phillips and the Community Events Committee as the city approaches its 155th anniversary.
The celebration begins with a non-motorized patriotic parade featuring participants in holiday attire riding decorated bicycles, tricycles, wagons, and strollers. The parade will be led by Northport’s own Uncle Sam, setting the stage for an afternoon and evening of community celebration.

Activities throughout the day will include:
● Live music featuring talented Alabama performers
● A special Veterans Recognition Ceremony honoring those who have served our nation
● Food trucks
● Face painting and family-friendly activities
● One of the area’s best views of the annual fireworks display across the Black Warrior River

The 4th on Main is designed to bring residents and visitors together to celebrate America’s history, honor those who have contributed to our freedoms, and showcase the vibrant spirit of downtown Northport.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and spend the evening celebrating Independence Day with family and friends.
