This resource was designed with the signers of the Declaration of Independence in mind. It will help you cover social studies and ELA standards in 3rd through 12th grades.


This lesson builds understanding of the relationships between founding documents by comparing and contrasting the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. 

Students will learn about the purpose and message of the Declaration of Independence, question and discover if women had rights in early America and analyze and compare the Declaration of Sentiments and its message and purpose.
